Sunday

Sundays at 4:00 pm

God has called all of Creation to worship Himself at all times and in all places. So while we ought to worship throughout the week as we are scattered around the city, God calls His people to regularly gather (Hebrews 10:24-25) to worship Him together through Word and sacrament.

Some helpful things to know about our gathering:

Preaching:  Expositional preaching through books of the Bible is our regular diet of corporately hearing from God’s Word. We confidently trust that God inspired and arranged His Word to give His people what they need for life.

Liturgy: We follow a pattern of worship that gladly incorporates creeds, confessions, and hymns. Read more

People: Downtown Albuquerque is not only a business heart of the city, but is a geographic one as well. So while many Christ Church members and attenders live downtown, we desire to be a church for the city. No matter where you live, we are a church of broken sinners who are being renewed individually and together through Christ.

Christ Church Kids: (Nursery - Pre-K) — We have fun and Christ-centered classes that meet during the service. Read more
(K - 3rd Grade) — Meets every 3rd Sunday during the sermon for fun and Christ-centered classes.

Torch: (Grades 4-6) — Meets every 3rd Sunday during the sermon for friendship and sermon-based discussion.

Youth Ministry: (Grades 6-12) — Meets on Thursday evenings for fellowship and Bible Study.

To The Parents Of Young Children

We have nursery and children's ministries available through 3rd Grade during the service. However, we think it is extremely valuable for you to begin teaching and showing your children the importance of worshiping with the rest of the church and learning to hear God’s Word through preaching as well. Consider having them sit with you once or twice a month. Read more.

Relax! Children are naturally wiggly! Perhaps sit near the front where it is easier for your little ones to see and hear what is going on. They tire of seeing the backs of others' heads. Quietly explain the parts of the service, and feel free to whisper answers to their questions in the sermon. They may also find the Sermon Notes For Kids sheet helpful (available at the Info Desk).

Sing the hymns, pray, voice the confessions and professions, actively listen and respond to the sermon. Children will learn what it means to participate in corporate worship by copying you. More is caught than taught. Please do be mindful of others, and if you have to leave the service with your child, please feel free to do so, but please come back! As Jesus said, "Let the children come to me."
